Boing Boing: Foldaway house from South Africa
Good architecture to know about. Like many modualr structures, I fear this would be critiqued in design school as too "pedestrian" since it is not very beautiful. This is more of my cynicism with architecture school than this design, for I think the more of these designs that are realized, the faster social progress can be made. Social progress happens with the citizens are happy. People are not happy without a home.
