Open Architecture Network | Improving living standards through collaborative design

Open Architecture Network | Improving living standards through collaborative design

Architecture for Humanity just launched the Open Architecture Network, which is essentially an open source architecture forum. Kind of like music sources, the open network is for architects to post their designs in order for other people to make use of them. Kind of the collective artist's dream. While the architects are limited in liability if people really do use the design, the intent is for people in need of architecture can make use of this site.

I think the site is still very "architect centric". A common user or a person in need of a piece of architecture for a desperate situation might not be able to decifer the website and all of the open source tags that define each project. However, the resources are growing, and as more architects load their ideas to the server, more vertsatility in understanding the designs should be possible.
